The Azerbaijani authorities create artificial grounds for military criminal actions and new demands against Armenia with new falsification of facts. They started to use false examples of Armenia’s specific villages and cities.
Our studies of the Azerbaijani state policy revealed new facts. In particular, they have already moved on to elaborate detailed falsification of facts. Using the example of specific villages or towns in Armenia (for example, in Syunik or Gegharkunik), they falsely “justify” that they were “emptied, displaced, as well as dispossessed as a result of massacres by Armenians against Azerbaijanis”. This period usually covers from the beginning of the 20th century to the 1920s, and then they falsify the facts of the 1980s.
This is a consistent policy that is implemented on a large scale throughout Azerbaijan and abroad by state and other government affiliated media, providing large-scale propaganda. With this, first of all, they not only do not let the Armenian hatred and hostility in the society decrease, but also deepen it.
In other words, at first glance, humanitarian issues are raised, but in reality, political plans and grounds for military aggression against Armenia are being prepared under this “humanitarian” guise, and new territorial demands are being presented to Armenia. This is the policy that is the basis (nexus) for atrocities against Armenian military servicemen and civilians committed by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.
This creates false grounds for the, so called, return of “reparations and territorial claims” to Armenia, the so-called “Western Azerbaijan”, and also provides a mirror effect of Artsakh’s ethnic cleansing and mass forced displacement of the entire population.
