How much can you pretend for the sake of holding on to political power that everything is fine and that you are in control of the country’s security solutions?
For the sake of office, you have put forward unrealistic goals and to justify them, you have covered up and concealed Azerbaijani crimes. And you have done all of this and are doing it all because of your nightmarish fears and for the sake of keeping your own political power.
By so doing, the opportunities to fight for the fundamental security solutions of our country (for example, the creation of a security zone around the borders of Armenia) were missed and are significantly reduced. In many ways, Azerbaijan has strengthened its own positions, created the legal [albeit artificial] foundations of its own actions, and it has strengthened its own agenda driven by hatred of Armenians under the false veil of peace. Even now, with the same brazen behavior, it continues to commit crimes against our citizens, as recently as that which sadly took place today.
For us, the price of all of this is the Homeland, the life of a person, the life of a soldier and that of a civilian. And while all along, every soldier of Armenia protects his Homeland, and the people living in the Homeland from ongoing Azerbaijani criminal acts, while all of their lives are ostensibly under international protection.
How long have I been proving with concrete facts that the government of Azerbaijan has no intentions of peace?
Therefore, one thing is clear: as long as there are armed Azerbaijani servicemen near the villages and cities of Armenia, and on the roads between our communities, our citizens will continue to be in danger, and Azerbaijani criminal acts will continue as long as the fascist government of that country operates in the absence of responsibility.
In this situation, peace awaits not at crossroads, but it is a dead end.
