A special event was organized in the city of Los Angeles, USA, to present the activities of the newly created Foundation “Tatoyan” Center for Law and Justice to a number of structures and individuals of the Armenian community.
At the beginning of the meeting, I mentioned that one of our main functions is to record evidence of Azerbaijani crimes, to investigate, and to help prosecute the guilty.
Apart from that, the directions of the foundation’s activities will be:
• Strengthening democracy and rule of law in Armenia;
• Ensuring human rights, social justice and, national security;
• Scientific, educational and research activities, raising the level of knowledge in society through public awareness;
• Ensuring mutual respect, pluralism, and public solidarity in society;
• Securing connections between Armenia, Artsakh and the Armenian Diaspora, pan-Armenian solidarity, and protection of national values.
The website www.tatoyanfoundation.org is being launched, through which it is feasible to support the implementation of the foundation’s programs with contributions.
I emphasized once again that I will carry out active public activities in connection with the foundation. The foundation does not have financing from any oligarch. The financial supporters are our individual compatriots.
I presented that the employees of the foundation are former employees of the Office of the Human Rights Defender, they are professionals who have vast experience working in crisis situations.
Leaders and individuals of Armenian organizations in Los Angeles, Chicago and a number of other cities took part in the meeting: notable lawyers, journalists, historians, artists, etc.
PS: Within my US working visit high-level meetings were held, new programs and initiatives were discussed.
