Today’s Azerbaijani shootings in the area of Tegh community of Syunik province of Armenia, including from mortars, as a result of which we have killed and wounded servicemen, are from the Azerbaijani positions that were illegally deployed recently. The Azerbaijani criminal shootings in the area of Vardenis community of Gegharkunik province are from the positions invaded by Azerbaijan. The work of the Sotk mine has also been stopped, and the staff has been evacuated.
This is the clear policy of the Azerbaijani authorities. they install illegal locations in RA territories or near Armenian civilian communities and on the roads, and then commit crimes against civilians and servicemen (shootings, thefts, etc.), people are unable to earn their family income. Our Armed Forces, Border Guards, and Police officers protect the Armenian civilian population from Azerbaijani criminal acts.
Illegal presence of Azerbaijani armed servicemen is in itself a violation of people’s right to life and a disruption of security in the conditions of Azerbaijani authorities’ policy of hatred against Armenians and criminal impunity.
All grounds exist and continue to be present that the Azerbaijani armed servicemen must be removed and a security zone should be created for the protection of the civilian population.
